751 Dekalb Avenue
5-story Building with Added Penthouse
8,325 sq. ft.
Mixed use building on Dekalb Avenue in Brooklyn that includes 1 floor of commercial and 4 ½ floors of residential. This building was slated for complete demolition and if untouched for another few months it would have collapsed on its own. Consequently, the clients felt it worth saving and a new central internal steel stair acted as a stabilizing element. This allowed us to rebuild the entire structure adding a top floor and penthouse with all new services.
The proximity to Pratt Institute creates a demand for student housing, and it was designed for occupancy by multiple roommates with separate living/studying spaces.
